Alma Quenemoen sees her world in colors and shapes.

She grew up on the western Minnesota prairie, immersed in the changing seasons, lush crops of green, gold, and brown, flowers of vivid splash in the summer, orange, rust, yellow, brown in the fall, fading to neutral washed out gentle tones to black in the early winter – and then white everywhere!

She grew up with ever-changing prairie sunsets of every color, baby pinks and blues, burning reds, vivid purples, even ominous blacks and greens.

She works with fabric remnants, thrift store canvasses, acrylics and tempera paints, and glitter.

Alma began painting while attending high school. Alma has Down syndrome, and is an advocate for all artists, actors, musicians, and craftspeople with disabilities.

Alma’s work is for sale unless otherwise noted. Pricing ranges from $50-$250 generally. Some pieces are sold only as sets.  All are sold unframed. Contact info@almaquenemoen.com with inquiries. For purchases, please include your address and contact information.
